Sprouted Whole Wheat Bead
This bread has become a staple in our household over the last couple of months! Sadly it is not gluten free but it is easier to digest because of the wheat being sprouted! I am making 4-5 loaves a week and it barely lasts us a full 7 days!
When i started down my journey of regaining my health through natural remedies and food i purchased the Trim Healthy Mama cookbook and started implementing a lot of their recipes and ideas into my own cooking. Within a few days of doing so not only i but the rest of my family started seeing a difference.
I highly recommend to any one thinking about changing their cooking to a delicious non diet healthy plan to grab this cookbook —> https://amzn.to/3OgM0RK
Now on to what you guys have been begging for… the sprouted wheat bread recipe!
(Disclaimer this is not my recipe but that of Pearl and Serene)
Recipe:
2 cups water at 105 degrees
1 Tbsp butter
1 Tbsp honey
1 Tbsp active yeast
stir together and allow yeast to bloom for 10 minutes
3.5 cups sprouted whole wheat flour
1 tsp mineral salt
In a stand mixing bowl or a regular bowl mix the flour and the salt. After the yeast blooms pour mix into flour mix.
Start kneading adding in 1 Tbsp at a time of more flour until dough is smooth and elastic, not sticky, but still moist and pliable. With stand mixer it takes 8-12 minutes. By hand 20-30 minutes.
Once kneaded divided into two portions and shape to your preference. Lightly spray 2 bread pans with coconut oil and place dough in them to rise for 1 hr or double in size.
Bake them after rise at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes. Allow the bread to rest for 10 minutes before removing from pans.
Enjoy!
